Telangana Chief Minister Shri Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao announced to establish a Agriculture Research and Development institute in Ankapur village on 31 July, 2014 in a meeting with public representatives of Nizamabad District in his office in Telangana Secretariat. A welcome move and ankapur farmers appreciate our respected and honourable CM for his pro farmers decisions in Telangana State Government.

Ankapur is hub for commercial seed production and processing like Sorghum(Red Jowar/Jonna) and Pearl Millet(Bajra/Sajja). There are about 50 seed processing plants in the village. It is considered as Seed Bowl of Telangana and India. The commercial after processing is exported to Norther states of India for fodder grass.It is hundred crores industry in Armoor Mandal and Nizamabad District. In the course of the time there emerged many seed entreprenuers from the village. This seed business provided ample employment opportunities for the local community. It is boon to Ankapur village and Armoor Mandal.
