Ankapur-Gudati Kaapu/Gudati Reddy/Guradi Kaapu/Guradi Reddy farmers hardworking and Intelligent-Rediff News.....
kapus are not reddy's. kapu's are kapu's they have their own identity and a few kapus especially from ankapur village claim they are reddy's but the truth is they are kapus and they have their own identity. history say's reddy's are rulers and kapus are farmers. why kapu's want to loose their identity i do not understand. be proud for being kapu and do not add reddy tag after kapus name.
I am a Gudati reddy.. from hyderabad.. Gudati Reddys are found mostly in Telanagana Districts like Hyderabad, RangaReddy, Nalgonda, Karimnagar, nizamabad,Adilabad, Medak and in some places of Mahaboobnagar, warangal, khammam... Hyderabad, Rangareddy, karimnagar, adilabad, nizamabad are dominated by gudati reddies.. The first and ancient reddies of telangana region are gudati reddies... The famous Gudati reddies in AP are.. Marri ChennaReddy (Ex-CM), Konda RangaReddy( EX-Deputy CM and Rangareddy Dist is named after his death), Sabitha Indra Reddy (present Home minister), P Indra Reddy (EX- Home Minister), Alimineti Madhava Reddy (EX- Home Minister of TDP), Komatireddy Venkat Reddy (IT Minister who resigned his ministry post for telangana and present MLA), Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy (present MP), Devireddy Sudeer Reddy( EX-HUDA Chairman and Present MLA, Nalla Nithin Reddy ( The one and only Reddy HERO who is recognised as one of the leading stars in Telugu film Industry).. and many MLAS of Telangan area are Gudati Reddies..As far now i know these famous personalities and i will let u know if there are famous personalities in Gudati Reddies

Kapu, Kunbi, Reddi—the chief land-holding and cultivating caste of Telingana, whose physical characteristics, although difficult of accurate description, are decidedly of a Dravidian type. The name "Kapu" means "guardian", which is interpreted in the sense of 'food donor', inasmuch as members of this caste c*<jftivate land and grow corn, thus contributing to the maintenance of animal life. They rear milch cattle and bullocks, which are employed in agricultural operations.
Origin,—The Kapus trace their descent to one Adi Reddi, from whose seven sons the whole Kapu raca, is said to have sprung. Beyond this vague story they have no traditions which will throw light upon their origin.
Internal Structure—They are divided into the following subcastes :— (1) Panch Reddi, from "Reddi", "king or master", so called as they include five endogamous groups, viz :— (i) Motati. (ii) Gudati or Godadi. (iii) Paknati. (iv) Ghittapu. (v) Gone.

Gudati Reddy's are prominent rulers in ancient India and not much details are available. But with few ancient scripts shows the evidence of Reddy cast.
Gudati Reddy's are the top in Reddy's category. Gudati Reddy's are very humble and kind persons. They have donated their wealth to the needy. many tried to take advantage of their kindness and tried crush them but they rise like a sun. even today if you meet any Gudati reddy, one will tell how humble and kind they are. Gudati Reddy's are well known for their sacrifice and kindness.
